Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you can and cannot do with Plero. It applies to all users, including Studio Owners, Team Members, and Contractors.
Violations of this policy may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account.
1. Lawful Use Only
You must use Plero only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
- Launder money or finance illegal activities
2. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, store, or transmit content that:
2.1 Illegal Content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Content that violates intellectual property rights
- Stolen financial information or credentials
- Controlled substances or illegal goods
2.2 Harmful Content
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Content designed to harm or exploit minors
- Non-consensual intimate images
- Content promoting violence or terrorism
2.3 Deceptive Content
- Fraudulent invoices or fake business documents
- Phishing attempts or impersonation
- Misleading financial records
- Forged contracts or signatures
3. Prohibited Behaviors
3.1 System Abuse
You may not:
- Attempt to access other Studios' data
- Circumvent security measures or access controls
- Overload the Service with excessive requests
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
- Reverse engineer the Service
3.2 Account Abuse
You may not:
- Share login credentials with others
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits
- Use the Service after account termination
- Transfer or sell your account
3.3 Spam and Harassment
You may not:
- Send unsolicited bulk messages through the Service
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or stalk others
- Publish private information about others without consent
- Engage in hate speech or discrimination
3.4 AI Abuse (Chloe)
You may not use the AI assistant to:
- Generate content that violates this policy
- Attempt to extract confidential information
- Manipulate the AI to bypass safety measures
- Create misleading or fraudulent business documents
4. Your Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you upload. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share this content.
4.2 Accuracy
For financial and business documents (invoices, contracts, etc.), you are responsible for the accuracy and legitimacy of the information.
4.3 Backup
While we maintain backups, you should keep copies of important business data.
5. Contractor Portal
When inviting Contractors to your Studio:
- Share only the information necessary for their work
- Remove access promptly when the relationship ends
- Ensure Contractors understand their limited access rights
- Do not use the portal to circumvent employment laws
6. Resource Limits
To ensure fair use for all users:
- Do not store excessive data unrelated to business operations
- Do not use the Service as a general file storage solution
- Do not make excessive API calls that impact other users
- Respect rate limits and usage quotas
7. Security
7.1 Your Responsibilities
- Use strong, unique passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication when available
- Report security vulnerabilities responsibly
- Do not share sensitive information in insecure ways
7.2 Reporting Security Issues
If you discover a security vulnerability:
- Email security@plero.ai immediately
- Do not exploit or publicly disclose the vulnerability
- Provide details to help us reproduce and fix the issue
8. Enforcement
8.1 Violations
When we identify a violation, we may:
- Issue a warning and request correction
- Temporarily suspend access
- Remove violating content
- Permanently terminate your account
- Report illegal activity to authorities
8.2 Severity-Based Response

8.3 Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:
- Email legal@plero.ai within 14 days
- Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
- We will review and respond within 30 days
9. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of content or behavior that violates this policy:
- Email abuse@plero.ai
- Provide as much detail as possible
- Include URLs, screenshots, or other evidence
- We will investigate and take appropriate action
All reports are confidential. We will not retaliate against good-faith reports.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date
- We will notify users of significant changes
- Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
